Three Oranges Opening Night A Success!

“This is the best experience of my whole entire life!” exclaimed one of the actors from The Love of Three Oranges when I asked him how performing last night went for him. And we concur! The cast performed for a large and responsive audience last night. The crowd laughed at all the right lines, purchased lots of donated snacks [thank you drama students!], sent telegrams to cast and crew, and clearly enjoyed the night.

And the books! We have collected 55 books so far–our goal is 100, so on our opening night, we are half way there! Remember, if you want that discount, bring in a new or gently used children’s book. There was a fine collection of books in our box. I noted lots of picture books, some Dr. Seuss, ones from the Babysitter Collection, various Disney characters, the Berenstain Bears, and a ton more. Thanks to all who contributed–we promise to give these books a great home. We will send these books with our ASB Leadership class when they do their annual read-aloud to local elementary school kids next month. All books will then be donated to that school’s library.

During yesterday’s dress rehearsal and last night during the performance, we were fortunate to have some super talented photographers shooting before, during, and even a bit after, pix of the event. I want to thank Cathy and Josh for their work–you make us all look so good!

It’s not too late to get tickets! Come see us any time today. Tix are $5 general, $4 if you are a current drama student or card-carrying International Thespian Society member, or $4 if you bring in a children’s book.

When do you plan to attend?

Need further enticement? Below, here are few pix–we will load up more throughout the run of the show.

  1. We went Saturday Night, loved it! Awesome, funny, surprising and just well done! A great group of young men and women, much talent on that stage. We enjoyed every minute, good luck in your future productions.
