NSHS Theatre Supports Homeless Teens

Homeless Teen (2 of 2)

Because we have NSHS students living in cars or couch surfing and lack basic supplies, the NSHS Theatre Department had planned to fill 20 bags for our Homeless Teen Project.  And guess what? We were able to fill 35! We received tons of donations from so many generous folks:

Once our show closed and our set came down, our cast and crew gathered all the donated goods and started filling up the bags. We organized them by male/female and then small, medium and large. These bags are stuffed full of those oh-so-necessary toiletry items and gently used clothes.

Our next step is to send these bags off to Mrs. Guzman, our Community Liaison, who will distribute as needed. Many, many thanks to all the folks who donated these much needed items. We are so fortunate to be a community willing to help those in need.  It’s a great day to be a VIKING!

  1. It’s great to see that people are willing to help others. You should keep accepting donations through the year so that theater could help more.

  2. Helping others make one person feel good from the inside. I’m glad that the goal was reached. The poor students are going to appreciate for helping them out.
